A house is a house. It seems a word game, a simple game. It's not simple however understand what is a house, even better what a house should contain: maybe a simple functional expression translated into a form. And the more the union tends to the state of balance, the more comfortable the house results. A child drawing a house uses a simple and intuitive language, made generally of very few signs, which correspond to his idea of a house: this simply representation has its balance, and its message results clear and extremely understandable.

The intervention tries to repeat this experience and translate it into a project in which formal semplicity is the expression of a balanced functional system, comfortable and enjoyable to live.

The space is naked and simplified. The living area expands: there are no more spatial divisions and the simple finishing makes uniform this open space. Only one neutral color and a structured gres floor that becomes also the connecting wall coating. This wall is a diaphragm between living area and sleeping area of the house, a border line interrupted by full height monochrome sliding doors. Different room heights identify different functions, as well as lighting style.

The same design process is repeated in the sleeping area: the space expands thanks to the choice of surface materials. The natural oak floor parquet uniforms the decking, while vertical walls are characterized by a shades of gray painting. Only the bathrooms are not included in this uniformity and expansion mechanism: their space is compressed by a forest green finishing and dark furnishings.
